Tokina USA is offering Free Firmware updates to current owners of the FiRIN 20mm F/2.0 AF.
This update affects lenses purchased from USA authorized dealers before June 19, 2018. Any lens purchased after this date will have the firmware update installed.
Benefits of this firmware update:
This firmware update improves the auto-focus performance of the Tokina FíRIN 20mm F2 FE AF when the camera is set to AF-C high-speed shooting mode (Hi+/Hi/Mid). This improvement will be seen when the lens is used with Sony α7III, Sony α7RIII, Sony α9 cameras. When used with Sony α9 auto-focus tracking will work only in Mechanical Shutter type AF-C mode.
