Superior Optics

At the core of this lens are two aspherical elements and two super low-dispersion (SD) glass elements, effectively suppressing chromatic aberrations, minimizing coma at the edges at F2.8, and delivering outstanding contrast and color reproduction

Construction

Designed for portability, the lens measures just 3.2 inches (82.7mm) in length and weighs only 11.2 oz (320g). Despite its ultra-wide focal range, its compact size ensures a comfortable, non-bulky feel—ideal for one-handed shooting and perfect for travel.

The silent ST-M autofocus motor enables fast, precise focusing and is fully compatible with Fuji’s spec, Direct Manual Focus, MF Assist Mode, Eye AF, and in-camera Optical Correction technology. Best of all, the near-silent operation ensures that no lens noise is picked up when recording audio with the camera’s internal microphones.

Minimum Focus Distance

The constant F2.8 aperture provides consistent exposure control throughout the 11-18mm zoom range, while nine rounded aperture blades produce beautifully soft bokeh in out-of-focus areas. The lens offers a close focusing distance of 7.4 inches (19cm) at 11mm and 11.8 inches (30cm) at 18mm, allowing for creative close-up compositions with a wide perspective.
